The Philippine archipelago is blessed with beautiful sceneries, miles and miles of white sand beaches, a year round tropical weather, historical sights and structures to admire, underwater creatures and caves to explore, natural resources to treasure and wildlife to protect.

But is this all there is to see? There are three places that stand out in my head that you may not be thinking about.

When people hear of the island of Boracay, they visualize unbelievably clear waters that often reflect the blinding lights of the sun. People begin to anticipate the soft and fine white sand being dug by their toes as they bathe in sea and sunlight. People look forward to romantic strolls at the beach where the night sky is lit by an unusually large moon. And people are intrigued to the much-talked-about frenzied disco nights where the rules are simply dancing, singing, and having fun.

When you want a great vacation in the Philippines, the paradise island of Boracay is the place to go. The cool, clear, and shallow water is perfect for swimming and dipping. Friends can play any cook-up game on the water. The long shoreline covered with fine white sand is perfect for strolling barefooted or for getting that gorgeous tan. The weather is benevolent most times of the year, and the people are warm, friendly, and accommodating. The Filipino hospitality is definitely incomparable.

In the six nights of stay in Boracay, one can also experience and dine in six distinct bar and restaurants. On one night, the tourist can be at the Bikini Bar and have cocktails while toasting the majestic sun as it colorfully struggles against its inevitable sinking from the horizon. On another night, the tourist can indulge in sumptuous meals while watching the fascinating play of lights reflected in the pool waters.

Boracay is famous for its powdery white beaches and its incredibly crystal clear waters. Some tourists can relax beneath the wonderful warmth of the sun, lying on the fine sand. While other tourists can indulge in scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, jet skiing, and island hopping. But what many tourists are not aware of is the fact that the paradise island of Boracay is the sanctuary of a wide variety of butterfly species.
